Sources and methodology
Our career library covers 838 U.S. occupations using the O*NET 31.0 Database. This data selection was imported on 2026-09-21. Import dates are not job-posting dates or dates when every occupation was surveyed.
What comes from O*NET
Occupation descriptions, reported job titles, core tasks, skill importance ratings, software examples and related occupations come from the official downloadable database. We use occupation codes to connect these records. Skill importance is measured on a 1–5 scale.
How we select and transform records
We include occupations with a substantive description, at least five core tasks and eight usable skills. We display up to ten core tasks, twelve highest-rated essential or transferable skills, eight reported titles, twelve software examples and six related occupations. Suppressed skill estimates are excluded. Software marked in demand or hot technology is prioritized; its presence is not a requirement for every job.
What Applyace adds
Applyace adds application checklists, task-based practice prompts, internal navigation and interactive worksheets. Interview prompts are practice exercises written around occupational tasks, not actual employer questions. Worksheets assemble your own words and do not verify your experience or predict interview outcomes.
Limits and updates
These guides describe occupations, not current vacancies, salary offers, visa eligibility or employer requirements. Always check the actual posting. O*NET observations have different collection dates. We pin the dataset version for reproducibility and review updates before replacing it; this library is not a real-time feed.
Worksheet responses remain in your browser page’s memory and are not submitted to Applyace. You can download them as text. A quiz link carries the occupation identifier so you can start with that role; you can change it in the quiz.
For corrections, contact Applyace support and include the page URL and the information to review.
